The Eco Battery GEN3 70V 105Ah Lithium Bundle (also referenced as 72V 105Ah) is a complete, cart-specific lithium iron phosphate power system designed to replace lead-acid batteries in golf carts and low-speed vehicles. Every bundle ships with the battery, charger, DC-DC converter, state-of-charge display, cart-specific charge port, mounting hardware, and a remote wake-up button everything required for a direct, clean installation.
Running at 70.4V nominal, this system delivers noticeably more torque and sustained power compared to 48V lithium alternatives. The higher voltage means the motor draws less current for the same output, reducing heat and extending the life of both the battery and drivetrain components. Riders who frequently navigate hills, carry multiple passengers, or run lifted performance builds will experience a clear improvement in acceleration and hill-climbing capability over lower-voltage systems.
The GEN3 battery stores 7,392 Wh of energy enough for 35 to 60 miles of range per charge depending on terrain, load, and speed. At a 25A draw, the reserve capacity is 252 minutes. Charging from empty to full takes approximately 3.5 hours with the included 70V 15A CAN charger, compared to 9 to 12 hours for a traditional lead-acid pack.
Built by Eco Battery, a U.S.-based company with a dedicated engineering and support team, this battery is backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty (contiguous U.S. only, excluding Alaska and Hawaii) and uses Grade-A Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) prismatic cells a chemistry known for thermal stability, cycle longevity, and inherent safety. The proprietary Battery Management System (BMS) communicates via CAN protocol with compatible chargers and motor controllers, adding a layer of intelligent protection during charging, discharging, and storage.
This bundle is available in cart-specific configurations for EZGO TXT, EZGO RXV, Club Car Precedent / Onward / Tempo (2009+), Yamaha Drive / G29 (2007–2010), Yamaha Drive 1 & 2 (2011+), and Navitas Chassis. Select your cart model from the variant selector above to ensure you receive the correct mounting brackets, tray, and charge port for your specific vehicle.
Compatibility note: This bundle is designed for carts that currently run a lead-acid battery system. It will not work with carts that have a factory-installed lithium battery. Some performance builds with upgraded motors may also require a compatible motor controller. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering.

FAQs
Will this battery work with my 48V golf cart?
In many cases, yes. A 70V (typically 72V nominal) lithium battery can be compatible with golf carts that originally used 48V lead-acid batteries but only if the system components can support the higher voltage. Some performance builds with upgraded motors and controllers are specifically designed to operate in the 70V–72V range.
However, if your cart is equipped with a stock 48V controller and motor, upgrades are usually required. Running a 70V battery on a 48V-rated controller can damage the controller, over-stress electrical components, and void warranties.
Before installing a higher-voltage battery, it is important to confirm that the controller, motor, solenoid, and charger are all compatible with the increased voltage.
What is the difference between 70V and 72V are they the same?
Yes, in practical terms they refer to the same class of battery. The nominal voltage of this battery is 70.4V. The working voltage ranges from 59.4V at discharge to 80.3V at full charge. The golf cart industry commonly uses "72V" as shorthand for this voltage class, and this battery is compatible with systems marketed as either 70V or 72V.
How long does the battery take to fully charge?
Using the included 70V 15A CAN charger, a full charge from empty takes approximately 3.5 hours. There is no memory effect with LiFePO4 chemistry, so you can charge the battery at any state of charge partial charges do not reduce capacity or lifespan.
How many miles can I expect per charge?
Range depends on terrain, total vehicle weight, speed, and accessory load. On flat terrain with a standard 2-passenger cart at normal speeds, riders typically see 45 to 60 miles per charge. On hilly terrain or with heavier loads and accessories, range is typically 35 to 45 miles. The reserve capacity at a 25A draw is 252 minutes.
Do I need to do anything to maintain this battery?
No routine maintenance is required. Unlike lead-acid batteries, LiFePO4 cells do not require water refills, terminal cleaning, or equalization charges. The BMS manages cell balancing automatically during every charge cycle. For seasonal storage, the battery self-discharges at only 1% per month, so it can be stored unplugged for extended periods without risk of damage from full discharge.
Can I store my cart outdoors or in a cold climate?
The battery can discharge (operate) in temperatures as low as -20°F (-29°C). However, charging is restricted to temperatures above 32°F (0°C) the BMS automatically prevents charging below freezing to protect cell integrity. If you store your cart in a cold environment, allow the battery to warm to above 32°F before charging.
Will this battery work with my cart's factory charger?
The bundle includes a dedicated 70V 15A CAN charger specifically matched to this battery. Using the included charger is required for optimal performance and warranty compliance. Your existing lead-acid charger is not compatible and should not be used with this lithium battery.
Does this bundle work if my cart already has a factory lithium battery?
No. This bundle is designed for carts currently running a lead-acid battery system. Carts with a factory-installed lithium battery have purpose-built electrical systems that are not compatible with this aftermarket bundle. Installing this battery in a factory lithium cart can cause system conflicts and is not covered under warranty.
Can I connect two batteries together for more range?
Yes. The GEN3 70V 105Ah battery is parallel connectable up to two units can be connected in parallel to double the capacity to 210Ah. Series connection is not supported. Connecting in series will damage the battery and void the warranty.
What does the warranty cover and for how long?
The GEN3 70V 105Ah battery is covered by Eco Battery's Lifetime Limited Warranty, valid in the contiguous United States only (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Eco Battery is a U.S.-based company with a dedicated support team available by phone and email. Full warranty terms are available at www.ecobattery.com or read Warranty Tab. Warranty coverage requires use of the included charger and installation per the provided guidelines.
How do I know which variant to select for my cart?
Select the variant that matches your cart brand and model year from the dropdown selector on this page. Each variant includes cart-specific mounting hardware, a replacement tray where applicable, and the correct charge port for your vehicle. If your cart is not listed or you are unsure, contact us with your cart's make, model, and year and we will confirm the correct bundle for your application.
Is the Eco Battery app available for both iPhone and Android?
Yes. The Eco Battery mobile app is available for both iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. Via Bluetooth, the app displays real-time state of charge, voltage, temperature, and cycle data. The GEN3 BMS also supports over-the-air software updates through the app, so performance improvements can be delivered without any physical service visit.
