Installation

Can I use this battery in cold weather or store my cart outdoors in winter?
The battery discharges safely down to -20°F (-29°C), so driving in cold weather is not a concern. However, charging is restricted to temperatures above 32°F (0°C). The BMS includes built-in charging freeze protection that automatically prevents charging below 32°F to protect the cells. If you store your cart outdoors in freezing temperatures, the battery will not accept a charge until it warms up this is normal and a protective feature, not a defect.
For extended winter storage, the battery's 1% per month self-discharge rate means it will retain the majority of its charge for many months without needing a maintenance charge.
Can I connect two of these batteries together for more range?
Yes. The GEN3 51.2V 105Ah Thru-Hole battery supports parallel connection of up to two units. Connecting two in parallel would double the capacity to 210Ah and significantly extend your driving range.
