When to choose the Skinny vs. the Thru-Hole
The Skinny and Thru-Hole batteries provide the same 105Ah capacity, performance, and estimated 35 - 45-mile range. Choose based on the available space and mounting configuration:
- Choose the 105Ah Skinny when the battery compartment is long and narrow. Its 22-inch design works well in carts or conversion trays with limited width.
- Choose the 105Ah Thru-Hole when you need a shorter, more compact battery. Its patented center mounting tunnel allows a rod or J-hook to pass through the battery for a secure installation, which is especially useful in compatible Club Car trays.
For a universal installation, neither option is automatically better. Measure the battery compartment and select the shape that fits most naturally with the least modification. Always confirm dimensions, cable clearance, and mounting points before ordering.

Installation
This is a DIY-friendly conversion, but every cart has its own quirks, especially the off-brand and older carts this bundle is made for. Read this before you start.
The basic sequence:
- Disconnect and remove the full lead-acid battery bank.
- Seat the lithium pack in the tray and secure it with the included mounting hardware. Minor drilling or a custom bracket may be needed on some carts.
- Connect the main positive and negative leads to the cart.
- Install the 12V converter (A-1272) so your lights, horn, and accessories keep working.
- Wire in the 110V charge port (A-4022) and the SOC meter (A-3109).
- Use the remote wake-up button (A-4220) to bring the pack out of sleep mode, then test drive and recheck terminal torque.
Common cart-specific quirks to check:

Charge port and onboard computer. Some carts route the charge circuit through an onboard computer (OBC) or a reed switch in the charge port. On several conversions, owners bridge or bypass that switch so only the battery positive and negative remain in the charge path. Confirm your cart's charge-port wiring before energizing.

Old analog voltage gauge. Your factory dash "fuel" gauge is calibrated for lead-acid and will not read a lithium pack correctly. Use the included digital SOC meter and bypass or ignore the old gauge.

Main / ceramic fuse and solenoid. A blown fuse or a solenoid that will not click on first power-up is almost always a wiring or polarity issue. Double-check every connection against your cart's diagram before applying load.

12V accessories. With no lead bank, there is no easy 12V tap. The included A-1272 converter is what powers your low-voltage electronics; it is required, not optional.

Do I need Eco's Tech Tool or any cart programming?
No. This is a universal bundle with no cart-side programming and no Tech Tool required. The battery, charger, and meter communicate over Eco Battery's CAN link, and the auto-baud meter configures itself. That separates it from the model-specific CAN kits made for carts like ICON, Bintelli, and Advanced EV.
How much power can these packs deliver?
The 105Ah and 160Ah packs are rated for 250A continuous discharge, 600A for 5 seconds, and 550A for 10 seconds. The 60Ah is rated for 200A continuous, 500A for 5 seconds, and 450A for 10 seconds. That headroom is why these pair well with performance controller upgrades without nuisance shutdowns under load.
Will it still power my lights and 12V accessories?
Yes. The included A-1272 DC-DC converter steps the pack voltage down to 12V for your lights, horn, and accessories. Because a lithium conversion removes the lead-acid bank, this converter is required for your low-voltage electronics to work.
Can I monitor the battery from my phone?
Yes. Eco GEN3 packs connect to the EB Power app over Bluetooth, so you can check state of charge, view diagnostics, and keep firmware current. The included CAN LCD meter also shows charge level on the cart.
How long does it take to recharge?
The bundle includes a 15A CAN charger. Recharge time depends on how far the pack is drained and which capacity you have; a deeper discharge on a larger pack takes longer. Because lithium has no memory effect, you can also top off partially at any time without harming the battery.
Can I keep my old charger and dash gauge?
No. Use the included 15A CAN lithium charger (A-1055); a lead-acid charger is not appropriate for this pack. Your factory analog voltage gauge is also calibrated for lead-acid and will read incorrectly, so use the included digital SOC meter instead.
Is fabrication required to install it?
Mounting hardware is included, and many installs are straightforward. Because this is a universal kit rather than a model-specific one, some carts may need minor drilling, a custom bracket, or light fabrication to seat the pack securely. Plan for basic hand tools and check your tray dimensions against the specs first.
Can it charge in freezing weather?
The standard pack charges at 32°F and above. If you need to charge in colder conditions, choose the heated version, which warms itself so it can charge safely down to -4°F, then charges normally once it reaches the safe threshold. All versions discharge from -4°F to 140°F.
Is the battery weatherproof?
The pack uses a powder-coated steel case rated IP67 for water and weather resistance. It is built for the vibration and exposure of normal cart use. As with any electrical install, route and protect your wiring and connections properly.
What is the remote wake-up button for?
Eco GEN3 packs use a Power Save sleep mode during storage to protect the battery. The included A-4220 remote wake-up button brings the pack back online so the cart will power up. Keep it accessible after installation.
Can I add a second battery for more range?
