Upgrade or replace the factory lithium battery in your Evolution golf cart with an Eco Battery Gen3 LiFePO4 bundle. Pick the version that matches your Evolution model and the capacity that matches how you drive, and get more range, maintenance-free operation, and a sealed, long-cycle lithium pack in one kit.
This listing covers the full Evolution lineup, from the popular 105Ah upgrade to the maximum-range 160Ah pack, in both 6-Pin and 9-Pin versions. Every version is a single sealed pack that replaces the entire factory lithium battery and uses Eco Battery's Gen3 battery and battery management system.
Fits factory-lithium Evolution carts only. Early Evolution carts built from 2017 to 2020 came with lead-acid (Trojan) batteries and are not compatible with these bundles. If your cart currently has lead-acid batteries, contact us for the correct kit.
- Capacity options for every use, from golf and neighborhood driving to lifted and accessorized carts
- 6-Pin versions fit the D2 platform (Classic, Carrier, Forester, Turfman) and include an Eco charger and CAN LCD meter
- 9-Pin versions fit D5, D6, and D-MAX and use your factory charger and touchscreen
- Gen3 BMS, IP67 steel enclosure, and Limited Lifetime warranty
A quick note on voltage: these are 48V-class batteries. Eco lists them as "51V" because 51.2V is the pack's nominal voltage. It is the correct system voltage for a 48V Evolution cart. Use the "How to Choose" tab to match your exact model, and send us a photo of your connector before ordering if you are unsure.
How to Choose
Step 1: Match your Evolution model to the connector
Your version is set by your cart's factory-lithium communication connector. Use this guide, then confirm by counting the pins.
| Your Evolution model |
Connector |

| Classic 2 & 4 (Pro / Plus), Carrier 6 & 8 Plus, Forester 4 & 6 Plus, Turfman 200 / 800 / 1000 |
6-Pin |
105Ah Skinny, 160Ah |
| D5 Ranger & Maverick (4, 6, and 2+2), D6, D-MAX GT4 / GT6 / XT4 / XT6 |
9-Pin |

Confirm before ordering: lift the seat, find the plug on the factory battery's communication harness, and count the pins. Six pins takes a 6-Pin version; nine pins takes a 9-Pin version. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the connector with your model and year and we will confirm it.
Step 2: Choose your capacity
Higher capacity means more usable energy and range. Actual distance varies with terrain, load, tire size, driving style, accessories, and cart condition.
-
105Ah: The popular choice for golf and neighborhood driving on stock or lightly upgraded carts.
-
150Ah: More range for daily driving and longer trips, or moderately modified carts (9-Pin models).
-
160Ah: Maximum range, well suited to six-passenger, lifted, accessorized, or frequently driven carts.
Step 3: For 105Ah on 9-Pin carts, choose the case shape
The 105Ah comes in two case shapes so it fits your battery tray. The 150Ah and 160Ah come in a single long-format case.
-
Thru-Hole: Has a center channel that slides over the factory hold-down rod, for the more grouped tray layout.
-
Skinny: A slimmer, longer case for narrower tray layouts.
Not sure which case your cart's tray takes? Send us a photo of your battery bay and we will confirm it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Evolution models does this fit?
It fits factory-lithium Evolution carts. The 6-Pin versions fit the D2 platform: Classic, Carrier, Forester, and Turfman. The 9-Pin versions fit D5 Ranger and Maverick, D6, and D-MAX. For D3, contact us to confirm. Early 2017 to 2020 Evolution carts with lead-acid batteries are not compatible.
How do I know if I need the 6-Pin or 9-Pin version?
Match your model using the table in "How to Choose," then confirm by counting the pins on your factory battery's communication connector. Six pins takes a 6-Pin version; nine pins takes a 9-Pin version. Fitment is based on the connector, not the model year. If unsure, send us a photo and we will confirm it.
Will this work on my lead-acid Evolution cart?
No. These bundles replace the factory lithium battery and use the factory-lithium 6-pin or 9-pin connector. Evolution carts built from 2017 to 2020 typically came with lead-acid (Trojan) batteries and need a different kit. Contact us and we will help.
What is the difference between Skinny and Thru-Hole?
Both are 105Ah, but the case shape differs so it fits your battery tray. The Thru-Hole has a center channel that slides over the factory hold-down rod and suits the more grouped tray layout. The Skinny is a slimmer, longer case for narrower trays. If you are not sure which your cart uses, send us a photo and we will confirm it.
Which capacity should I choose: 105Ah, 150Ah, or 160Ah?
105Ah is the popular choice for golf and neighborhood driving on stock or lightly upgraded carts. 150Ah adds range for daily driving and longer trips. 160Ah is the maximum-range option, well suited to six-passenger, lifted, accessorized, or frequently driven carts.
Is this a 48V or a 51V battery?
Both describe the same battery. It is a 48V-class golf cart battery with a nominal voltage of 51.2V, which is why Eco lists it as "51V." It is the correct system voltage for a 48V Evolution cart.
Does it come with a charger?
The 6-Pin versions include a matched 38V–51V 15A CAN charger. The 9-Pin versions do not, because they are designed to use your existing factory Evolution charger. Note that some 2024 and newer carts use an orange factory charger.
Will my dashboard still show the charge level?
On 9-Pin versions (D5, D6, D-MAX), the battery communicates with your factory touchscreen, so your display continues to show charge status. The 6-Pin versions include an Eco Battery CAN LCD state-of-charge meter.
How is Gen3 different, and how do I know I have it?
Gen3 is Eco Battery's current generation, identifiable by a serial number tag, updated graphics, and dual communication ports. These bundles ship with Gen3 batteries.
Anything I should know about charging?
The battery must be powered on to accept a charge, and on CAN-enabled setups the communication connection must be in place for charging to work correctly. Use the included charger on 6-Pin versions, or your factory charger on 9-Pin versions.
Can I charge it in cold weather? Is there a heated option?
Standard packs charge at 32°F and above and include freeze charge protection. A heated version is available that warms the cells when temperatures drop below freezing, which helps in colder climates. Ask us or select the heated option if you regularly charge in cold conditions.
Can I install it myself?
Each kit is built to replace the factory lithium pack and includes the mounting hardware and adapters for your selected model and connector. If you are not comfortable working with the cart's battery and wiring, we recommend a qualified golf cart technician.
What is the remote wake-up button for?
The included remote wake-up button (A-4220) powers the battery on and off and can be mounted on your dash, so you do not need to lift the seat. It is included with every version.
Can I pressure-wash the battery?
No. Although the enclosure is sealed and IP67 rated for dust and temporary water exposure, pressure washing is not recommended and can cause damage that is not covered under the warranty policy. Avoid spraying the connectors, charger, and charge port directly.
How long does it last, and what does the warranty cover?
LiFePO4 packs are long-cycle batteries built for years of service. The battery is backed by Eco Battery's Limited Lifetime warranty; coverage, exclusions, registration requirements, and any prorated terms are subject to Eco Battery's current warranty policy. We can help with registration and details. For full details read our warranty tab.
