This bundle fits the Yamaha G19 (1996–2002) and Yamaha G22 (2003–2007).
Both are 48V golf cart models. Everything needed for a complete installation is included in the box. If you are unsure of your cart's model year, the serial number is located in the glove compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Eco Battery GEN3 48V 105Ah Skinny Lithium Bundle for Yamaha G19 / G22 is a complete lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) conversion kit designed for the Yamaha G19 and G22 golf cart. The Skinny form factor fits the longer, narrower battery tray layout found in these models, replacing the entire set of lead-acid batteries with a single lithium unit. The bundle includes every component for a complete installation: battery, CAN charger, 12V DC converter, LCD state-of-charge meter, locking charge port, mounting hardware, and remote wake-up button.
Consistent power from the first hole to the last. Lead-acid batteries lose voltage progressively as they discharge the cart slows down on hills and feels sluggish toward the end of a round. LiFePO4 chemistry holds a flat voltage curve across the full discharge cycle. The cart delivers the same power at 20% charge as it does at 90%.
One battery replaces all of them. The Yamaha G19 and G22 typically carry six 8-volt lead-acid batteries. This single 113 lb Skinny unit replaces all six, removing over 200 lbs from the battery compartment. Less weight means better acceleration, improved hill performance, and a noticeable difference in how the cart handles.
CAN communication between battery and charger. The included 15A CAN charger communicates directly with the battery's BMS in real time during every charge cycle exchanging cell-level data, not just voltage and current. This allows the system to charge more accurately, protect cells more precisely, and extend the service life of both the battery and the charger. The charger shuts off automatically at full charge and does not require any input from the user.
Zero maintenance from installation day forward. No watering, no equalization charges, no terminal cleaning, no acid checks. The BMS monitors and balances every cell automatically. Firmware updates are pushed wirelessly through the Eco Battery mobile app via Bluetooth the battery improves over time without any action required.

12V accessories:
The included DC-DC 12V converter (A-1272) is required for any G19 or G22 with 12V accessories lights, horn, USB ports, turn signals. This converter is included in the bundle and must be connected as part of the installation. Without it, 12V accessories will not function after the lead-acid batteries are removed.
This bundle does not fit:
- Yamaha G1 through G16 36V system, requires a completely different product
- Yamaha Drive / G29 (2007–2016) and Drive2 (2017+) these require the Eco Battery Thru-Hole bundle
- Gas-powered Yamaha golf carts
- Yamaha carts with factory-installed OEM lithium battery systems
- EZGO, Club Car, or other brands separate model-specific bundles available
Not sure which Yamaha model you have? Contact us with your serial number and we will confirm the correct bundle before you order.
Use and Care
Daily use:
- Charge the battery daily to keep it fully charged and ready for use.
- The battery does not need to be turned off after each use. Leave the power button on and the charger connected if the cart will be used within 15 days.
- Avoid running the battery below 20% state of charge. Monitor the SOC meter as you would a fuel gauge.
- Partial charges are acceptable at any time and do not harm the battery. LiFePO4 has no memory effect.
- The charger is not a float charger. It will not hold the battery at 100% indefinitely this is normal. The SOC may drop as low as 90% before the charger restarts a new cycle.
Storage:
- For storage beyond 15 days: charge above 50%, disconnect the charger AC power cord, and turn the battery off.
- Charge the battery at least once every 6 months during extended storage.
- After long-term storage, fully charge before use SOC may drift during storage and a full charge re-calibrates the BMS.
- If storing below -4°F, remove the battery from the cart and store in a location above -4°F.
Cold weather:
- The battery discharges down to -20°F (-29°C). Driving in cold weather is supported.
- The battery will not accept a charge below 32°F the BMS freeze protection activates automatically. This is a protective feature, not a defect.
- Performance and range decreases in cold temperatures are normal and expected.
Cleaning:
- Do not pressure wash the battery. Pressure washing can damage the lid seal and is not covered under the warranty policy.
- Do not use chemical cleaning agents of any kind.
- Clean by blowing off with a leaf blower or wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
FAQs
Does this bundle fit my Yamaha G19 or G22?
Yes. This bundle is designed specifically for the Yamaha G19 (1996–2002) and Yamaha G22 (2003–2007). Both are 48-volt carts. If you are unsure of your model year, the serial number is located in the glove compartment on the driver's side. Contact us with your serial number and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
Is everything I need included?
Yes. For a standard stock Yamaha G19 or G22, everything is included: battery, CAN charger, 12V DC converter, LCD state-of-charge meter, locking charge port, mounting hardware, and remote wake-up button. You will need common hand tools and the free Eco Battery mobile app to complete setup and activate firmware updates.
Will my lights, horn, and 12V accessories still work?
Yes. The included DC-DC 12V converter (A-1272) converts the lithium pack's voltage to 12V and powers all 12V cart accessories lights, horn, turn signals, USB ports. Connect the orange wire to the ON side of the key switch for switched 12V power, or directly to the battery positive terminal for constant 12V power. This converter is included and must be installed as part of the conversion.
My Yamaha is a G1 through G16. Can I use this bundle?
No. Yamaha G1 through G16 carts are 36-volt systems and require a completely different Eco Battery product. This bundle is for the 48-volt G19 and G22 only. Contact us and we will point you to the correct product for your cart.
How far will this battery take me on a single charge?
Under typical conditions on a standard Yamaha G19 or G22 flat to moderately hilly golf course or neighborhood terrain owners report approximately 40 to 45 miles per charge. The reserve capacity at a 25A draw is 252 minutes (4.2 hours), which supports multiple full rounds without recharging. LiFePO4 holds voltage flat across the discharge cycle, so the cart delivers consistent power from the start of a round to the finish.
How long does a full charge take?
The included 15A CAN charger provides a full charge from 0% to 100% in approximately 7 hours. Partial charges from typical daily use take less time. The charger shuts off automatically at full charge. Partial charges at any time are acceptable and do not affect battery lifespan.
What is Power Save Mode?
Power Save Mode is an automatic feature that prevents the battery from fully depleting when the cart sits unused. It activates after 7 days of inactivity when SOC is between 20–100%, or after 24 hours when SOC is between 0–19%. When active, the battery fully powers down the meter, wake-up LED, and power button LED all turn off. To exit, press the remote wake-up button or the on/off button on the battery. If the battery entered Power Save on its own, fully charge it before driving.
Can I use this battery in cold weather?
The battery discharges down to -20°F (-29°C), so driving in cold weather is supported. Charging is restricted to temperatures above 32°F the BMS freeze protection activates automatically below this threshold. This is a protective feature, not a defect. Performance and range decreases in cold temperatures are normal and expected. For storage below -4°F, remove the battery from the cart and store it above -4°F.
Do I need to register the battery?
Yes. The battery must be registered within 60 days of purchase at ecobattery.com/register to activate the full-duration limited warranty. Batteries not registered within 60 days carry a 1-year limited warranty only. Registration requires your battery serial number and takes only a few minutes on Eco Battery's website.
