This kit fits EZGO TXT models from 2017 to 2019 and EZGO RXV models from 2020 to 2022 that came factory-equipped with a Samsung ELiTE Gen1 lithium battery. EZGO factory lithium carts use a CAN bus system a digital communication line between the battery and the cart's controller, display, and regenerative braking system. An aftermarket battery without the CAN adapter cannot send or receive the signals the cart expects, and the cart will not operate correctly. The CAN adapter included in this kit connects the Bolt battery to those factory systems. 

No. The factory EZGO charger is not compatible with the Bolt Energy 51.2V battery and should not be used. This kit includes a waterproof high-speed charger matched to the Bolt battery voltage. No separate charger purchase is required.

Yes and it is already included. The kit comes with a 30-amp voltage reducer that steps the 51.2V battery voltage down to 12V for accessories such as lights, fans, radios, and other 12V devices. You do not need to purchase one separately.

A 400A solenoid is included in this kit and is replaced as part of the standard installation. You do not need to purchase one separately.

Yes. The CAN adapter maintains communication between the Bolt battery and the cart's factory electronics. The included SOC meter replaces your factory state-of-charge display and shows accurate battery percentage on the dash. Regenerative braking on the RXV, forward and reverse operation, and speed control all continue to function normally after installation.

Most EZGO TXT and RXV owners report 30 to 45 miles per charge with this 105Ah battery. The factory Samsung Gen1 battery is rated at 20 to 25 miles per charge. Actual range depends on terrain, passenger load, cart speed, and whether the cart has been modified. A stock, unmodified cart on flat ground will achieve more range than a lifted cart with larger tires carrying multiple passengers.

LiFePO4 batteries hold voltage flat throughout the discharge cycle, unlike the factory Samsung which loses voltage as it depletes. This means your cart maintains consistent power and speed from a full charge all the way down to a low battery rather than slowing down on the back half of the charge. Whether top speed increases beyond factory settings depends on your controller and motor, not the battery alone.

When the charger is plugged in and battery temperature is below 34 degrees Fahrenheit, the internal heating element activates automatically. It draws power from the charger not from the battery itself so it does not reduce your stored charge. Once the cells reach the correct charging temperature, the heater shuts off and normal charging begins. No manual steps are required. You can plug in overnight in a cold garage and wake up to a fully charged battery.

Yes. The heated version of this battery is designed specifically for cold weather charging locations. Unheated garages, barns, sheds, and outdoor storage are all suitable as long as the charger is plugged in. Standard lithium batteries that are charged below freezing can suffer permanent cell damage this battery eliminates that risk by heating itself first.

Many owners install this kit with basic hand tools using the included owner's manual. Because this cart uses a CAN bus communication system, the installation involves connecting the CAN adapter correctly an extra step compared to a standard lead-acid to lithium swap. LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) is generally considered the most thermally stable lithium chemistry available and does not experience thermal runaway under normal operating conditions. The factory Samsung ELiTE uses NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry, which is more energy-dense but less thermally stable. LiFePO4 is the chemistry used in most commercial, marine, and industrial lithium battery applications for this reason.

The battery carries a 12-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The first 5 years (months 0 to 59) are fully covered at no cost. From year 6 through year 12, a prorated cost applies. The warranty is transferable if you sell your cart, remaining coverage passes to the new owner, which adds documented resale value.
