LiFePO4 Prismatic Cell Chemistry
Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) is a chemically stable lithium cell type. It does not produce the thermal runaway risk associated with other lithium chemistries. 250A Continuous / 520A Peak BMS

Most customers running a standard 4-passenger cart on flat ground report 30 to 50 miles per charge. Heavily modified carts or hilly terrain may produce 20 to 30 miles.
Do I need a special charger for this battery? +
Yes. LiFePO4 batteries require a lithium-compatible charger your existing lead-acid charger is not suitable and should not be used. Will my 12V accessories still work after the conversion? +
Yes. The Professional Kit includes a 30-amp voltage reducer, which converts the 48V battery output down to 12V to power your existing accessories lights, horn, USB ports, stereo, and similar items. This is pre-wired in the kit. No additional converter purchase is required.
What is the difference between the Standard Kit and the Professional Kit? +
Both kits include the same 51.2V 105Ah Thin battery. The Professional Kit adds the 400A heavy-duty solenoid, 30-amp voltage reducer, 2 × 40" 2AWG premium installation cables, and the lead battery removal strap. These components are needed if your cart's existing electrical hardware is being replaced or upgraded alongside the battery. How does this battery handle a cart with an upgraded controller or lift kit? +
The Thin's BMS is rated for 250A continuous and 520A peak discharge. This output level supports most performance controller upgrades up to the 400 - 500A range. If your cart runs a high-output controller above that range, contact us before purchasing to confirm compatibility. Lifted carts with larger tires draw more power on acceleration and hills the 105Ah capacity and 520A peak rating are designed to handle those demands without voltage sag.
Is this battery safe? Will it catch fire or explode? +
LiFePO4 is a chemically stable lithium chemistry. Unlike lithium cobalt oxide or lithium polymer cells (common in consumer electronics and power tools), LiFePO4 does not have the thermal runaway vulnerability associated with those chemistries. The cells do not release flammable gas during normal operation. The BMS provides additional protection against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, and temperature extremes.
