If your golf cart batteries are getting old, running low faster, losing power on hills, or just dying without warning, the Bolt Energy 48V 105Ah MINI (Nominal 51.2V) replaces the entire lead-acid bank with a single lithium unit.
No more adding water. No more corroded terminals. No more guessing how much charge is left. The included Bluetooth SOC meter shows your battery level on your phone any time you check.
Based on manufacturer testing, typical range is 30 to 50 miles per charge depending on terrain, load, and driving conditions. A full charge takes approximately 4 to 6 hours with the included waterproof charger.
The Professional Kit ships with every part needed for a complete conversion: battery, charger, solenoid, wiring, reducer, mounting hardware, and a plain-English instruction manual. Most customers complete the installation themselves.
Compatible with Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, and most other 48-volt golf cart brands. Backed by a 10-year limited warranty from Bolt Energy USA.

Features
Single Unit Replaces a Full Lead-Acid Bank
One lithium pack replaces a full set of 6V, 8V, or 12V lead-acid batteries. Fewer connections, simpler wiring, and no imbalance issues between batteries at different states of charge or age.
No Maintenance Required
LiFePO4 chemistry requires no watering, no equalization charges, and no terminal cleaning. A periodic visual inspection is recommended, but there are no scheduled maintenance tasks after installation.
More Consistent Power Through the Charge Cycle
Lithium iron phosphate batteries hold a flatter discharge curve than lead-acid. Throttle response stays more consistent as the pack depletes, rather than tapering off noticeably as the battery approaches the lower end of its charge range.
250A BMS with Bluetooth Monitoring
The built-in Battery Management System is rated at 250A continuous discharge and 520A peak for 30 seconds, per manufacturer specifications. It monitors each cell in real time and protects against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, and high-temperature conditions. The included Bluetooth receiver connects the BMS to the Bolt Energy smartphone app so you can check charge level and battery data at any time.
IP66-Rated Waterproof Enclosure
The powder-coated steel case carries an IP66 protection rating, covering resistance to dust and high-pressure water. Suitable for outdoor golf cart use in rain and wet-weather conditions.
Lighter Than a Lead-Acid Bank
The MINI weighs approximately 100.8 lbs (45.7 kg). A standard set of six 8-volt lead-acid batteries typically weighs between 350 and 450 lbs. Reducing weight from the battery bay can improve cart handling and reduce long-term stress on tires and suspension components.
4 to 6 Hour Charge Time
A full charge from near-empty takes approximately 4 to 6 hours using the included charger, based on manufacturer data. Partial charges are safe and do not affect battery capacity or long-term lifespan.
30A DC Reducer for 12V Accessories
The included 30A DC reducer steps the 48V battery output down to 12V to power accessories such as lights, fans, and audio systems. Accessories drawing more than 30A continuous may require a separately purchased higher-capacity reducer.
12-Year Limited Warranty

If your cart uses a long, narrow battery tray, common in some E-Z-GO TXT configurations, the Bolt Energy THIN bundle uses a different form factor (same electrical specifications) and may install more cleanly. Contact us if you need help choosing between the two.
This battery is for 48-volt systems only. It is not compatible with 36V or 72V drivetrains without additional conversion components. Do not install a 48V battery on a cart with a different system voltage without first consulting a qualified technician.
FAQs
What is the difference between the Professional Kit and the Standard Kit?
Both kits include the battery, charger, Bluetooth receiver, SOC meter, AC hardwire port, DECO cover plate, mounting hardware, ring terminals, tie straps, extension cord, decals, and owner's manual. The Professional Kit adds two 40-inch 2AWG cables, a 48V 400A solenoid, a 30A DC reducer, and a battery removal strap. Choose the Professional Kit when replacing a complete lead-acid bank for the first time or when your existing solenoid and wiring also need to be replaced.
Will this fit my golf cart?
The MINI mounts using the included brackets and is compatible with a wide range of 48V carts without requiring a tray-specific footprint. It measures 12.8 in. x 12.01 in. x 10.42 in. If your cart uses a long, narrow tray, the THIN bundle may install more cleanly. Contact us with your cart's year, make, and model if you have any fitment questions before ordering.
How far will it go on one charge?
Based on typical 48V golf cart use, the manufacturer estimates 30 to 50 miles per charge. Actual range depends on terrain, passenger and cargo weight, speed, temperature, and accessory draw. Flat routes with one or two passengers tend to produce results toward the upper end. Hills, heavier loads, or frequent fast acceleration will produce results toward the lower end.
How long does charging take?
Based on manufacturer data, a full charge from near-empty takes approximately 4 to 6 hours using the included charger. Partial charges are safe and do not affect capacity or long-term lifespan.
Does it need any maintenance?
No. There is no watering, no equalization charging, and no terminal cleaning required. A periodic visual inspection of the battery and connections is recommended, but there are no scheduled maintenance tasks.
Can I install this myself?
The Professional Kit includes a plain-English owner's manual and every component needed for the installation. Many customers complete it with basic hand tools. Bolt Energy's support team is available by phone if you have questions during the process or Contact Us. If you are not comfortable working with electrical systems, a qualified golf cart technician can complete the installation.
What does the BMS do?
The Battery Management System monitors voltage, temperature, and state of charge across all cells in real time. It protects the battery by cutting off power if it detects overcharging, over-discharging, a short circuit, or temperatures outside the safe operating range. It also balances individual cells over time. Per manufacturer specifications, the MINI's BMS is rated for 250A continuous and 520A peak discharge.
How does the Bluetooth monitoring work?
The included Bluetooth receiver connects the BMS to a smartphone through the Bolt Energy app. The app displays real-time state-of-charge percentage and voltage.
Is it safe to use in rain or wet conditions?
Yes. The enclosure is rated IP66, covering protection against dust and high-pressure water. The battery is appropriate for outdoor golf cart use including rain and wet terrain. Avoid submerging the unit or leaving terminals exposed to standing water.
What does the warranty cover?
Bolt Energy USA provides a 12-year limited warranty from the invoice or ship date. It covers manufacturing defects and provides for repair or replacement as determined eligible under the warranty terms. Purchase through an authorized dealer is required. Contact us for assistance with any warranty question. For Full Details read "Warranty Tab"
Will it power my 12V accessories?
The Professional Kit includes a 30A DC reducer that steps the 48V output down to 12V for accessories such as lights, fans, and audio systems. Accessories drawing more than 30A continuous may require a separately purchased higher-capacity reducer.
How does lithium compare to replacing lead-acid?
Lead-acid batteries in a standard 48V cart typically need replacement every 3 to 5 years and require regular watering and maintenance. LiFePO4 batteries have no routine maintenance requirements. Per manufacturer specifications, the MINI is rated for approximately 3,000 charge cycles, corresponding to an estimated service life of 10 or more years under normal use. The upfront cost of a lithium conversion is higher. Whether that trade-off is the right decision depends on how often the cart is used, how long you plan to keep it, and how you weigh the maintenance difference.
My cart model is not listed. Can this still work?
Possibly. The compatibility list covers the most common 48V platforms but is not exhaustive. Contact us with your cart's year, make, and model and we will check fitment before you order.
