My cart has six batteries. Does that make it a 72V cart?
Not necessarily. Count the volts, not the batteries. Six 12V batteries make a 72V system, but six 8V batteries make a 48V system and six 6V batteries make a 36V system. Check the voltage stamped on your existing batteries and multiply. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your battery bank and we will confirm.
Can I install this in a 48V cart?
Not as a drop-in. A 72V battery requires a 72V-capable controller and motor. Installing it on a 48V system without upgrading the controller, motor, solenoid, and wiring can damage components. A full 72V conversion is possible, but it is a build, not a swap. If you want more range on a 48V cart without changing the controller and motor, ask us about a high-capacity 48V option instead.
Is this a 72V battery? Why does it show 76.8 volts?

How many miles will I get per charge?

A cart with a passenger in everyday driving typically sees around 60 to 75 miles, and a lifted cart, hilly route, or loaded 4x4 utility buggy sees roughly 40 to 55 miles. Range scales with weight, terrain, speed, and temperature, so treat the high end as a best case for a light cart on flat ground.
Is this battery self-heated?
It has charge heating. The pack warms its own cells while charging in the cold, so charging can proceed safely below freezing. The heater runs only while the charger is connected and shuts off automatically once the cells reach temperature. The discharge temperature range is -4°F to 131°F.
I have a 4x4 dual-motor Bad Boy Buggy. Will one pack run two motors?
In most cases, yes. Both motors draw from the same pack, and the 300A continuous BMS handles typical demand. For very high-draw builds that need more sustained current or runtime, this battery is parallel-connectable up to four packs at the same 76.8V. Send us your model and use case and we will advise on a single pack versus a parallel setup.
Can I wire two of these in series for more voltage?
No. This pack is not series-connectable, so you cannot stack two for a higher voltage. It is parallel-connectable up to four packs, which increases capacity and available current while staying at 76.8V.
How much does it weigh, and will it fit my tray?
The pack weighs about 209 lbs and measures 20.7" x 17.9" x 12.6". Plan for a two-person lift or a hoist. Most installs require modification to the factory battery tray. Confirm your tray space with us before ordering.
Do I need a special charger?
No. A matched 16-amp smart lithium charger is included, with the correct LiFePO4 charge profile. It charges the pack to 87.6V. The recommended charge current is 25A, at which a full charge takes about 408 minutes. Most owners simply charge overnight.
Can I monitor the battery from my phone?
Yes. Built-in Bluetooth connects to the free Rhino app for iOS and Android. Can I run a winch or heavy 12V accessories?
