The Epoch 48V 230Ah LiMax Series LiFePO4 Golf Cart Battery Model BB51230A is a complete lithium iron phosphate conversion kit for 48-volt electric golf carts. It stores 11.776 kWh of energy in a sealed steel enclosure rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, and is rated for 4,000 charge cycles with zero maintenance required. If you currently have lead-acid batteries in your golf cart, this is what switching to lithium means day to day: no more watering batteries every few weeks, no more acid smell in the garage, and no more watching your cart slow down on the back nine as the charge runs low. 

With 11.776 kWh on board, golfers using a standard 2-passenger cart on flat terrain can realistically complete multiple rounds between charges. For carts carrying more passengers or operating on hilly terrain, capacity is still significantly higher than a standard lead-acid pack. The Epoch 48V 230ah charges overnight using the included 48V lithium charger. Plug in after your last round or your last neighborhood run, and wake up to a full battery. No memory effect, no equalization cycles, nothing to monitor. The built-in Battery Management System handles everything automatically.

A free Bluetooth app for iOS and Android lets you check your battery's state of charge, voltage, current, cell health, and temperature from your phone at any time. Firmware updates for the BMS are delivered over the air through the same app, no service visit needed.

The steel case is rated IP67  dustproof and waterproof to one meter for 30 minutes. The battery discharges reliably from -4 degrees F to 140 degrees F without a built-in heating element, making it suitable for year-round use in most climates. Charging is supported between 32 degrees F and 131 degrees F.

Up to two BB51230A units can be connected in parallel for a combined 23.552 kWh. Two units is the manufacturer-specified maximum for this model. Covered by Epoch Batteries' 11-year manufacturer warranty.
