If you want a Club Car golf cart that goes farther between charges, weighs hundreds of pounds less, and needs zero maintenance, the Eco Battery 51V (51.2V) 160Ah GEN3 lithium conversion kit is built for exactly that. It replaces your lead-acid batteries with a single LiFePO4 pack holding 8.1 kWh of usable energy the largest capacity in the Eco Battery lineup, so you get extended runtime for long days on the course, around the neighborhood, or out on the property.
This kit is made for Club Car owners who ask more of their cart: lifted carts on oversized tires, four- and six-passenger bodies, hilly or off-road terrain, and anyone who simply wants more range before plugging in. Because it is cart-specific, it ships with the correct Club Car mounting brackets and charge connection for your model, giving you a clean, factory-style install instead of a universal workaround.
Beyond range, you get the everyday benefits of lithium: no watering or acid, no corrosion on your frame, steady power as the pack discharges, and a Grade A LiFePO4 build backed by a Limited Lifetime warranty. A GEN3 smart BMS, Bluetooth monitoring, and an included lithium charger round out a complete, ready-to-install upgrade.
Features
Here is what sets this kit apart and why each part matters for daily use:
GEN3 Smart BMS Monitors voltage, current, and temperature during charging, driving, and storage, protecting the pack and extending its service life.
Bluetooth + EB Power App Check charge level and battery status from your phone, and apply over-the-air firmware updates.
CAN Bus Communication The included charger and compatible cart components communicate directly with the BMS for controlled, balanced charging and accurate readings.
Grade A LiFePO4 Cells Stable, safe lithium chemistry that supports far more charge cycles than lead-acid, so you replace batteries far less often.
IP67 Powder-Coated Steel Case Sealed against water and weather, so it holds up to rain, wash-downs, and rough terrain.
Cart-Specific Install Kit Model-specific mounts and the correct charge connection for a secure, factory-style fit in your Club Car.
Included Lithium CAN Charger Matched to the battery, so there is no separate charger to source and charging stays safe and balanced.
Remote Wake-Up Button Wakes the battery from protective sleep without lifting the seat.

The 160Ah is the right choice when you want maximum range or run a cart that draws more power. Common uses include:
Lifted carts on oversized tires
Four- and six-passenger carts
Hilly, sandy, or off-road terrain
Long trips between charges on the course, in the neighborhood, or on the property
Carts with added accessories such as lights, stereo, and coolers
About the Club Car onboard computer (OBC)
Many Club Car DS and Precedent carts built from roughly 1995 to 2014 have an onboard computer (OBC) designed to manage lead-acid charging. Because it reads lead-acid voltage, it will not recognize a lithium pack and can prevent the cart from charging or driving until it is bypassed. An OBC bypass is a standard, well-documented step in a Club Car lithium conversion. Whether your cart needs one depends on its year and serial number. If you are not sure, send us your model, year, and serial number and we will confirm exactly what your install requires before you order.

Installation & Support
Because each kit is cart-specific, the brackets and charge connection are made to line up with your Club Car for a clean, factory-style result. Many owners with basic mechanical skills install these kits themselves; if you would rather have it done, most golf cart shops can install it quickly.
OBC bypass
If your Club Car has an onboard computer (common on DS and Precedent carts up to around 2014), plan for an OBC bypass as part of the install. It is a simple, well-documented step, and we can point you to the right instructions for your model or help you confirm whether your cart needs it.
Factory PowerDrive charger
On carts that came with the factory PowerDrive charger, that charger is retired during the conversion. It is a lead-acid charger and cannot charge lithium, so you will use the included Eco Battery lithium charger through the new charge port instead. It is good practice to disable the old charge connection so no one plugs the factory charger back in.
BMS and monitoring
The GEN3 BMS is CAN-enabled and communicates with the included charger and compatible cart components. Pair the battery with the EB Power app over Bluetooth to view status and apply over-the-air firmware updates. The included LCD meter gives you an at-a-glance charge readout on the dash. It is recommended to install the app and update the firmware during your initial setup.
Charging
The included 38V–51V 15A CAN charger communicates with the BMS for balanced, controlled charging. Charge time depends on how far the pack is drawn down; most owners plug in at the end of the day and start the next day at full charge.
Support and warranty
Eco Battery is backed by a Limited Lifetime warranty and a US-based support team. We are a Florida-based Eco Battery seller and can help you confirm fitment, sort out the OBC question, walk through installation, and support you after the sale.
FAQ
I have the factory PowerDrive charger and an OBC. Is this the full kit, or do I need anything else?
The kit is a complete conversion: battery, its own lithium CAN charger, a new charge port, a 12V converter, an SOC meter, and cart-specific mounting. For a PowerDrive/OBC cart, two things are worth knowing. First, the factory PowerDrive charger is retired it is a lead-acid charger and cannot charge lithium, so you will use the included Eco charger through the new port instead. Second, the OBC needs to be bypassed during the install, because on these carts it controls both charging and driving and will not recognize a lithium pack until it is bypassed. That is a standard wiring step with no extra part required. Send us your year and serial number and we will confirm exactly what your install needs.
