This 72V 10-amp lithium battery charger is designed for LiFePO4 golf cart batteries and electric vehicle applications. Compatible with Dakota Lithium 72V batteries and other 72V lithium systems with 10Ah+ capacity. Features smart charging technology and Anderson SB50 quick-connect terminals for charging.

Features

  • LiFePO4 Charging
    Designed for lithium iron phosphate batteries. Uses proper voltage profile (86.4V) for 72V LiFePO4 systems to maximize battery life and performance.
  • Smart BMS Communication
    Charger will restart or "wake up" a Dakota Lithium BMS that has turned off a battery due to short circuit or excessive amp draw. Simply connect the charger to the battery to initiate a restart.
  • Anderson SB50 Quick Connect
    Anderson SB50 connections make it easy to connect your charger to the battery. Install the ring terminals using the bolts on your terminals. Bolt black to your black terminal. Red to your red terminal. Do not short circuit. Connect charger via Anderson plug when charging needed.
  • Universal Input Voltage
    100-240V AC input works worldwide. Suitable for home, workshop, or travel use. Built-in power factor correction for operation.
  • Aluminum Heat Dissipation
    High-tensile aluminum case provides cooling during charging. Ensures consistent performance and extends charger lifespan.
  • Visual Charging Status
    Red light on the charger will turn on when charging. Light turns green when the battery is full. Clear visual indicators eliminate guesswork about charging progress.

Charging Practices
Standard Charging: 3-10 hour charge times provide maximum battery lifespan
Fast Charging: Dakota Lithium batteries support up to 1C charging (1-hour) when needed
Longevity Tip: For maximum cycle life, use charger with amp rating ≤ 1/3 of battery Ah capacity
Important Compatibility Note

For 72V Lithium Batteries: We recommend you use a LiFePO4 compatible charger. 72V chargers for lead acid batteries may work, but will decrease performance and lifespan of the battery. This charger is designed for lithium systems.

Installation and Setup

Terminal Installation: Install ring terminals on battery posts (black to negative, red to positive). Ensure tight connections and proper polarity to prevent damage.

Charging Process: Connect Anderson plug to battery, plug charger into AC outlet. Red LED indicates charging in progress. Green LED indicates charging complete and battery is ready for use.

Safety Features: Built-in protection against over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, and reverse polarity connection. Automatic shut-off when charging is complete.
