Eco Battery GEN3 51.2V 105Ah Skinny Lithium Bundle is a complete lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) conversion kit designed for specific EZGO and Club Car Carryall configurations: the EZGO TXT (48V, 2014 and newer), Express, the EZGO RXV with a factory metal battery tray, and the Club Car Carryall (2015 and newer). The skinny form factor is the correct fit for the longer, narrower tray layout found in all of these carts, replacing your full set of lead-acid batteries with a single, intelligent lithium unit.
Compatibility check, important before ordering: This bundle fits the following configurations:
(1) the 48V EZGO TXT (2014 and newer), also sold as the Freedom TXT and T48 | Bundle# B-3281
(2) EZGO Express | Bundle# B-3281
(3) the EZGO RXV with a factory metal battery tray (typically six 8-volt batteries in a steel tray) | Bundle# B-3221. If your TXT is a 36V model (pre-2014), or your RXV has a plastic battery tray, you need a different bundle.
(4) Club Car Carryall (2015 and newer) | Bundle# B-3101 uses the same skinny battery with a Carryall-specific mounting bracket (A-8415) and charger pigtail (A-4008) in place of the EZGO charge port.
Contact us with your cart's serial number before ordering if you are unsure.
The EZGO TXT, RXV metal tray, and Club Car Carryall all share a longer, narrower battery tray layout that the Eco Battery skinny design addresses directly. The TXT specifically includes a center frame spine that can make standard flat-battery installs awkward the skinny form factor and included model-specific mounting hardware resolve this without cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications.
This bundle replaces your entire bank of lead-acid batteries with a single 113 lb lithium unit. A standard six-battery lead-acid setup weighs over 300 lbs. That weight reduction translates directly to better acceleration, improved hill performance, and a cart that handles noticeably differently from the first drive.
Consistent power from full charge to empty. Lead-acid batteries deliver decreasing voltage as they discharge you feel it as sluggishness on hills and reduced speed in the final third of a charge. LiFePO4 chemistry holds voltage flat across the discharge curve. The same power at 90% charge and at 20% charge.
The GEN3 BMS monitors every cell in real time, handles balancing automatically, and communicates via Bluetooth and CAN protocol with the included charger and LCD gauge. Firmware is updated over-the-air through the Eco Battery mobile app no manual intervention required.
The bundle includes every component for a complete installation. The EZGO bundle includes: battery, CAN charger, 12V DC converter, LCD state-of-charge meter, model-specific locking charge port, mounting hardware, and a remote wake-up button. The Club Car Carryall bundle swaps in a Carryall-specific mounting bracket (A-8415) and charger pigtail (A-4008) in place of the EZGO charge port. The 12V converter is included for all configurations and is necessary it powers your cart's 12V accessories (lights, horn, USB ports, turn signals) from the lithium pack.
CAN communication, why it matters. Eco Battery uses advanced CAN (Controller Area Network) communication to connect the charger and the cart's components directly with the BMS. This means the charger and battery exchange real-time data during every charge cycle not just voltage and current, but cell-level information that allows the system to charge more accurately, protect cells more precisely, and extend the service life of both the battery and the charger. This is the same communication protocol used in automotive electrical systems.

Compatibility
This bundle fits four configurations that share the same longer, narrower battery tray layout: the EZGO TXT (48V, 2014 and newer) also sold as the Freedom TXT and T48 the EZGO Express, the EZGO RXV with a factory metal battery tray, and the Club Car Carryall (2015 and newer). All use the skinny form factor. The key differences between configurations are the charge port and mounting bracket details below.
EZGO TXT confirming your voltage:
- 48V TXT models (2014 and newer) typically use six 8-volt batteries in a long row configuration. This bundle fits.
- 36V TXT models (pre-2014) typically use six 6-volt batteries. These require a different Eco Battery bundle contact us before ordering.
- Your cart's voltage is also printed on the original charger or on a label inside the battery compartment.
EZGO RXV confirming your tray type:
- RXV models with a metal (steel) battery tray and six 8-volt batteries use this Skinny bundle.
- RXV models with a plastic battery tray and four 12-volt batteries require the Thru-Hole bundle instead.
- The metal tray is gray steel. The plastic tray is cream or tan colored. If unsure, contact us with your serial number.
Club Car Carryall confirming your model year:
- This bundle fits Club Car Carryall models 2015 and newer. The Carryall uses a longer, narrower tray that accepts the skinny battery directly.
- The Carryall bundle uses a Carryall-specific mounting bracket (A-8415) and a charger pigtail (A-4008) in place of the EZGO locking charge port.
- The stock Club Car Carryall controller is compatible with the 51.2V nominal voltage of this battery no reprogramming required.
- If your Carryall has 12V accessories (lights, horn, turn signals), the included 12V DC converter (A-1272) is required and is included in the bundle.
- If you are unsure of your Carryall's model year or configuration, contact us with your cart's serial number before ordering.
The TXT center spine what to know:
The EZGO TXT battery tray includes a center structural spine that runs along the tray's length. This spine can interfere with batteries that are designed to sit flat. The Eco Battery skinny form factor and included mounting hardware (A-8003) are specifically configured to work with this tray design, allowing the battery to sit securely alongside the spine without requiring cutting or drilling.
Controller compatibility:
The 48V EZGO TXT and Club Car Carryall both use DC motor controllers. The 51.2V nominal voltage of this lithium battery operates within the acceptable working range of the stock controllers in all compatible carts. No reprogramming is required for standard stock configurations.
12V accessories:
The included DC-DC 12V converter (A-1272) is required if your cart has any 12V accessories lights, horn, USB ports, turn signals. This applies to both EZGO and Club Car Carryall configurations. If you disconnect the old lead-acid setup without installing the converter, 12V accessories will not function.
This bundle does not fit:
- EZGO TXT 36V models (pre-2014) different bundle required
- EZGO RXV with a factory plastic battery tray that configuration requires the Eco Battery Thru-Hole bundle
- EZGO Express S4, S6, L6 separate bundles available
- EZGO carts with factory-installed OEM ELiTE lithium battery systems
- Club Car DS, Precedent, Onward, Tempo, Villager different Eco Battery bundle required

FAQs
Which carts does this Skinny bundle fit?
This bundle fits four configurations: (1) the 48V EZGO TXT (2014 and newer) also sold as the Freedom TXT and T48 which typically uses six 8-volt lead-acid batteries in a long, narrow tray; (2) the EZGO Express; (3) the EZGO RXV with a factory metal battery tray, which also uses six 8-volt batteries in a steel tray; and (4) the Club Car Carryall (2015 and newer).
It does not fit the 36V EZGO TXT (pre-2014, using six 6-volt batteries), the EZGO RXV with a plastic battery tray (which uses four 12-volt batteries and requires the Thru-Hole bundle), or Club Car DS, Precedent, Onward, or Tempo models. Contact us with your cart's serial number if you are unsure which configuration you have.
Will this battery fit in the EZGO TXT tray with the center spine?
Yes. The EZGO TXT battery tray has a center structural spine that runs along its length, which can cause fitment issues with standard flat-profile lithium batteries. The Eco Battery skinny form factor is designed to sit alongside this spine rather than over it. The included mounting hardware (A-8003) provides the specific bracket configuration needed to secure the battery properly in the TXT tray without cutting, drilling, or modifying the cart frame.
Does the Club Car Carryall use the same hardware as the EZGO bundles?
The battery, charger, 12V converter, LCD meter, and remote wake-up button are the same across all configurations. The two components that differ for the Club Car Carryall are the mounting bracket and the charge connection. The Carryall bundle uses the A-8415 Eco Battery Carryall mounting kit a bracket designed specifically for the Carryall tray and the A-4008 charger pigtail (C14 to LQC receptacle) in place of the EZGO locking charge port. Both are included in the Carryall bundle. No additional purchases are needed for a standard stock Carryall configuration.
Do I need to replace my charger?
Yes, your existing lead-acid charger cannot be used with this lithium battery. Lead-acid chargers use a different charging profile that is incompatible with LiFePO4 chemistry and will not charge the battery correctly. The included 15A CAN charger (A-1055) is designed specifically for this battery and communicates with the BMS via CAN protocol for safe, precise charging. Do not attempt to use the original charger after this conversion, regardless of cart model.
My cart has lights, a horn, and turn signals will those still work?
Yes, and this is an important point for all cart owners with 12V accessories. When your cart ran on lead-acid batteries, 12V accessories drew power from the battery bank through the cart's existing wiring. A lithium battery operates at a higher nominal voltage and does not supply 12V directly. The included DC-DC 12V converter (A-1272) handles this it converts the lithium pack's voltage down to 12V and powers all your accessories as before. This converter is included in all bundle configurations and must be connected as part of the installation.
Is everything I need included, or do I have to buy anything separately?
For a standard stock cart in any of the compatible configurations, everything required is included. The EZGO bundles include: battery, CAN charger, 12V DC converter, LCD state-of-charge meter, model-specific locking charge port, bolt mounting hardware, and remote wake-up button. The Club Car Carryall bundle includes the same components, with the Carryall mounting bracket (A-8415) and charger pigtail (A-4008) substituted for the EZGO charge port. You will need common hand tools (9/16" wrench, standard socket set, screwdrivers) and the free Eco Battery mobile app to complete setup and activate firmware updates.
How far will this battery take me on a single charge?
Range depends on factors including terrain, speed, cart weight, passenger load, and temperature. Under typical conditions on flat to moderately hilly terrain, owners report approximately 40 to 45 miles per charge. The reserve capacity at a 25A draw is 252 minutes (4.2 hours), which supports multiple full 18-hole rounds without recharging.
One key advantage of LiFePO4 chemistry is that voltage stays flat throughout the discharge cycle. You will not experience the power drop that lead-acid batteries show as charge decreases the cart performs the same at the start and end of a long drive.
How long does a full charge take?
The included 15A CAN charger provides a full charge from 0% to 100% in approximately 7 hours. Partial charges from typical daily use will take less time. The charger communicates with the BMS via CAN protocol and shuts off automatically at full charge. There is no risk of overcharging. LiFePO4 does not have a memory effect, so partial charges at any time do not affect battery lifespan.
Do I need to reprogram my cart's controller after the conversion?
No. For a standard stock cart in any compatible configuration EZGO TXT, RXV with metal tray, or Club Car Carryall no controller reprogramming is required. The 51.2V nominal voltage of this battery operates within the acceptable working range of all factory controllers. If your cart has aftermarket performance upgrades a higher-rated motor or upgraded controller contact us or Eco Battery's support team before installing to confirm compatibility.
Can I use this battery in cold weather or store my cart in winter?
The battery discharges safely down to -20°F (-29°C), so driving in cold weather is not a concern. Charging is restricted to temperatures above 32°F (0°C). The BMS includes built-in charging freeze protection that prevents charging below 32°F to protect the cells this is normal and protective, not a defect. For extended winter storage, the battery's 1% per month self-discharge rate means it will retain most of its charge for many months without requiring a maintenance charge.
Can I connect two of these batteries for more range?
Yes. Up to two units can be connected in parallel, doubling capacity to 210Ah and significantly extending range. Series connection is not supported. Contact us before attempting a dual-battery setup to confirm space and wiring requirements for your specific cart.
Do I need the Eco Battery app to use this battery?
The battery operates without the app for daily use the included LCD state-of-charge meter provides real-time battery level on the cart. The Eco Battery mobile app (free, iOS and Android) is needed to access Bluetooth monitoring, detailed cell data, and over-the-air firmware updates. Eco Battery recommends installing the latest firmware during initial setup, so downloading the app at installation time is advisable.
